DOSE Skateboarding
Client:
DOSE Skateboarding is a digital magazine updating their readers on all things skateboarding from all around the world - including news, videos, fashion and culture.
Objective:
Over the course of 3 months, I fulfilled the role of in-house Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager for DOSE Skateboarding. I handled all of their day-to-day design needs as well as admin tasks, website and social media management.
Strategy & Tactics:
To strengthen DOSE Skateboarding’s brand presence, I refreshed digital designs across Instagram, YouTube, and their website, establishing a more cohesive and polished aesthetic. I actively engaged with followers by responding to comments and inquiries promptly, fostering a sense of community and enhancing brand loyalty. Additionally, I initiated connections with influential figures in the skateboarding industry, setting the foundation for future interviews and articles to broaden DOSE's reach and credibility.
Results:
This strategy led to a noticeable boost in sustained user engagement, with more frequent return website visitors and a growth in follower interactions across platforms. DOSE Skateboarding now benefits from a more professional, unified visual aesthetic that better appeals to its core audience and aligns with industry trends, supporting their long-term growth and reputation.
Key tasks executed:
• Drafting and formatting website content (articles, images, embedding content, etc.)
• Merchandise concepts and design
• Graphics and branding for social media platforms (YouTube thumbnails, Instagram posts & stories, photo collages, and header images for their website)
• Email marketing (MailChimp)

Jelly Jess
Client:
Jelly Jess is a YouTube project that focuses on the production of "edutainment" content and personal stories told through the medium of animation, tailored for a younger audience.
Objective:
I've had the pleasure of working on this project since its inception, and have helped curate a large audience engaged with Jess' style of content and storytelling. My goal is to ensure all content leads the project on an upward trajectory, engaging her core audience whilst reaching new viewers.
Strategy & Tactics:
I focused on crafting content around contemporary yet evergreen topics that would remain relevant to her young audience over time. Eye-catching, vibrant thumbnails were designed to grab attention and drive clicks. Early efforts also involved raising brand awareness through active participation in various comments sections, which proved very effective. The project expanded to Instagram, X, and TikTok, helping Jelly Jess establish a broader audience.
Results:
I also developed a small dedicated following on Patreon and a store with regular sales. The project continues to see steady engagement and growth, driven by a loyal and active fanbase.

Nogla
Client:
Nogla is a social media star from Ireland, who is well known for creating comedic video game related content across social media.
Objective:
Nogla, who had already established a large audience and social media career, connected with me when he had approximately 200k subscribers on YouTube. Now boasting over 7m subscribers, I have been creating with him for over 8 years - primarily adapting his existing content into new animated media for his audience to enjoy.
Strategy & Tactics:
I tailored the content's art style, humor, and creative direction to appeal to his young, gaming-focused audience, incorporating quick cuts and snappy sequences to maintain high engagement. This approach not only preserved the comedic tone Nogla is known for but also optimized animations for YouTube’s previously fast-paced viewing environment, enhancing their shareability and appeal.
Results:
My work for Nogla achieved remarkable success, producing his most-viewed video with 21 million views and his second most-viewed with 11 million views. These animations quickly became the channel’s most popular content, consistently driving viewership and building anticipation among fans for each new release.

CultureCrash
Project:
Inactive since 2021, CultureCrash produced educational and entertaining videos on all topics, and became a cult favourite within the edutainment niche.
Objective:
CultureCrash is another project that I helped build from day one, where we released one piece of quality YouTube content every week. My goals for this project were to keep creating videos that pushed the project in an upwards direction, building a community of curious people that loved to learn, but who also enjoyed a bit of crude humour along the way. An alternative educational resource.
Strategy & Tactics:
Consistency was crucial - we committed to weekly uploads, ensuring viewers could expect new content at the same time each week, which fostered loyalty and kept the audience returning. To grow viewership, I implemented strategic engagement tactics, like interacting in comment sections of popular, related videos to attract traffic. Content was crafted around specific, niche topics, but with a wide thematic range, allowing us to appeal to a broad audience while remaining highly relevant within the edutainment niche. To the CultureCrash X account, various video-related memes, illustrations and educational infographics were shared to keep fans engaged between releases.
Results:
Our approach helped CultureCrash establish a dedicated, cult-following within the edutainment community. The consistent release schedule and targeted engagement strategies drove steady viewership growth, building a memorable brand that resonated with fans even after the channel became inactive.

Toffee Applehead
Project:
Toffee Applehead is a personal side-project where my wife and I create lighthearted content featuring our pet chihuahua, Toffee. We capture photographs and videos of her playful personality, and share these moments with our audience of animal lovers.
Objective:
My primary objective is to manage all aspects of content creation and distribution, ensuring consistent and engaging posts across all platforms. I handle every stage of YouTube video production—from concept development and filming to editing and post-production, and later uploading and scheduling. By regularly updating content, I aim to build an active, dedicated community, expand Toffee's audience and foster a positive space for fans to enjoy her adventures.
Strategy & Tactics:
I started by creating a local following on Instagram by actively attending dog events, chihuahua meetups, and networked with other creators and pet owners - allowing Toffee to make an impression in person and establish a core audience. I expanded to TikTok, using trending sounds and hashtags to broaden our reach and attract viewers outside of her bubble. Eventually, I launched a YouTube presence by repurposing short-form content for YouTube Shorts and producing longer-form videos in the "mukbang," "ASMR," and "pet video" genres. By strategically entering these niches, I was able to tap into a unique combination of genres with high viewer interest and low competition, positioning Toffee Applehead to grow promptly on the platform.
Results:
The consistent publishing of content and active engagement have translated into a strong initial community, comprised of my ideal audience demographic. This momentum has already attracted the attention of several brands, who have reached out with offers for product sponsorships and collaboration opportunities.
